According to Billboard, all three American Idol judges are represented on the Billboard charts this week. Simon Cowell’s label, Syco, has the No. 1 song on the Hot 100 with Leona Lewis’ “Bleeding Love.” Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson are on a variety of charts, including Adult Contemporary, where “Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow” (Dream Merchant 21) opens at No. 29. This is Paula’s first AC entry in 12 years and five months, since “My Love Is for Real” peaked at No. 40 in June of 1995. Paula’s collaboration with Randy is her ninth Adult Contemporary chart entry over a period of 19 years.

Billboard actually outlines Paula’s nine Adult Contemporary songs rank in order of chart peak:

No. 1 (five weeks): “Rush, Rush” (1991)
No. 5: “Blowing Kisses in the Wind” (1991)
No. 11: “Forever Your Girl” (1989)
No. 17: “Will You Marry Me?” (1992)
No. 26: “The Promise of a New Day” (1991)
No. 29 (to date): “Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow” (2008) [Paula Abdul & Randy Jackson]
No. 39: “Straight Up” (1989)
No. 40: “My Love Is for Real” (1995)
No. 45: “Opposites Attract” (1990) [Paula Abdul with the Wild Pair]
“Dance” is Jackson’s first AC chart appearance as an artist

Billboard is reporting that, just as his stint starring in the Broadway hit “Spamalot” concludes, Clay Aiken will return with his first album of entirely new songs since 2003’s Measure of a Man. Clay’s next album, On My Way Here, was produced by Kipper, best known for his work with Sting and Chris Botti. The album will most likely include the title track and a song called “Ashes,” but no other details have yet been made available. Clay fans will be thrilled to know that he is expected to tour the U.S. this summer, beginning in July. Measure of Man debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200. Since then, Clay has released 2004’s Merry Christmas With Love and 2006’s A Thousand Different Ways, which contained all cover songs.

Look for the new album to be out on May 6!

After selling more than 695,000 copies of his Gold-selling debut CD and delivering three consecutive top 5 singles to country radio, Josh Gracin will release his highly anticipated sophomore album, We Weren’t Crazy, on Tuesday, April 1, 2008.

Josh wrote or co-wrote three songs on the new CD and is admittedly most excited about his newest single, the title track, “We Weren’t Crazy.” The autobiographical song was written by Josh, Tony Lopacinski, and Bobby Pinson about Josh’s personal journey from childhood to raising children and having a family of his own. “This time around I got to dig in and share my stories as a songwriter. I’m so proud of how this song turned out,” he said.

Josh’s new CD, We Weren’t Crazy, allows audiences to take a more personal look inside the life of the season 2 finalist and former Marine. “This album is more me,” says Gracin. “I was able to focus on making the album I wanted to make. For the first album, I was still in the service, so I had to fly in and out of Nashville to record when I could. This time around it had my undivided attention.” Josh worked with producers Marty Williams and Brett James on the CD’s eleven tracks.

Josh Gracin’s debut album is certified gold by the RIAA and has sold over 695,000 copies. He’s one of only three new male country singers to be introduced in the last four years to earn a gold album. Josh is also the only male solo country artist in recent years to release a debut album with three consecutive Top 5 country hits, including his first #1, “Nothin’ To Lose.”
