Ruben Studdard has just signed on to join Frenchie Davis and the rest of the cast for the 30th anniversary tour of the musical revue Ain’t Misbehavin’. The show, which has earned three Tony awards since its original run in 1978, will be a recreation of its original direction. According to broadway.com, the tour will run from November through May of 2009. Ruben will apparently be performing concerts until then in support of his most recent recording.
Interestingly enough, Ruben’s friend and runner-up in season two, Clay Aiken, will soon make his Broadway debut with his role in the Tony-Award winning show Spamalot.

Bucky Covington is a critic favorite! His self-titled debut CD, which opened at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart in April 2007, has been selected by critics at the Dallas Morning News and the Miami Herald as a favorite country release for 2007.
Howard Cohen of the Miami Herald selects Bucky’s self-titled debut as one of only four country CDs in the publication’s Top 100 Notable Happenings in 2007, calling it "the most heartfelt, honest CD to come out of the American Idol factory." Bucky Covington made the top 10 for Mario Tarradell’s list of Top Country Discs for 2007 in the Dallas Morning News, calling it a "worthy, honest, workingman’s country-by-way-of-Southern-rock CD."
Bucky also wrapped the year as Country Aircheck’s #1 New Artist for 2007 based on the strength of his top 5 first single "A Different World" and his current hit, "It’s Good To Be Us." Cumulatively, both singles [...]

Kimberley Locke had plenty of options when she auditioned for season two of American Idol. In fact, she had to forego her acceptance into law school to be on the show. After taking an impressive third place behind powerhouses Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken, she certainly made an excellent decision. While Simon initially criticized Kimberley for lacking personality, he had a change of heart by the end of the season. He went so far as to say that she, Clay, and Ruben were all worthy of winning the title of American Idol.
Since the show, Kimberley signed with Curb Records and has had eight Top 20 Adult Contemporary hits, as well as six #1’s across the various Billboard charts. She only had one single not chart off of her debut album, One Love! Kimberley released her rendition of "Up On The Housetop" in the fall [...]
