Ruben Studdard has just signed on to join Frenchie Davis and the rest of the cast for the 30th anniversary tour of the musical revue Ain’t Misbehavin’. The show, which has earned three Tony awards since its original run in 1978, will be a recreation of its original direction. According to broadway.com, the tour will run from November through May of 2009. Ruben will apparently be performing concerts until then in support of his most recent recording.
Interestingly enough, Ruben’s friend and runner-up in season two, Clay Aiken, will soon make his Broadway debut with his role in the Tony-Award winning show Spamalot.
