In our exclusive interview with Blake, he revealed that he liked to do his own thing, and rarely even considered the voting. In fact, one night he was bowling with friends, they were all on their cell phones. When he asked them what they were doing, they said that they were all voting for him!

It’s always interesting to find out how the "Idol" contestants decide to audition for the show, as many of them don’t come from the traditional music background or training. This was the case with Nick Pedro, who thought to audition after winning a karaoke contest on a cruise with his family. It was the first time he’d ever sung in front of a large group of people, and he gladly accepted his paper crown and plastic trophy.
Nick made it to the final 24 this past season, and is very grateful for the experience. As he explains to The Enterprise, "It totally changed my life all around. I’ve gotten a lot of opportunities because of it. A lot of great things happened to me because of ‘American Idol.’ I owe them a lot."
