Superstar Carrie Underwood was honored last night with the Country Music Associations prestigious title of Female Vocalist of the Year for the second year in a row. In so doing, Carrie beat out Alison Krauss, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire and Martina McBride.

Sharing the spotlight with her was Kenny Chesney who won this years Male Vocalist of the Year, as well as a veritable whos who in those in the music industry. "If you told me a few years ago I had been nominated with the people I’m nominated with, I would have called you absolutely insane, said Underwood. In addition to her repeat title, Carries hit single, Before He Cheats was also honored as CMAs Single of the year.
