Reigning CMA and ACM Female Vocalist Carrie Underwood will begin television appearances this weekend to promote her new album, Carnival Ride, due in stores October 23. Her first performance is set as part of the Grand Ole Oprys 82nd Birthday Bash Celebration on Saturday, October 20, when Carrie makes the television debut of her co-written single, So Small, on Opry Live. Additional appearances will be on a ton of morning talk shows all over the dial (check local listings).
After wrapping up in New York City next week, Carrie will head to the City of Angels for an appearance on The Tonight Show and on The Ellen Show. Later in the week, Carrie will make her third appearance on the 41st Annual CMA Awards set for November 7 in Nashville, where she is a triple nominee. Season 6 finalist Melinda Doolittle will return to Belmont University next month to host and perform at the universitys annual Christmas at Belmont concert in Nashville. Before graduating with a degree in commercial voice from Belmont in 1999, Melinda participated in a diversity of vocal performance groups at the university, making this concert not only a return to her alma mater, but familiar performance territory as well.
Judges, mentors, and fans alike spoke of Melindas humble nature throughout this past season and Belmont’s Dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts Cynthia Curtis echoed these sentiments. Jon Peter Lewis, the first singer to bring rock ‘n’ soul to "American Idol," is joining forces with the independent roots rock label Authentic Records.
Jon will promote his debut record, "Stories From Hollywood," which features the hit title track and infectious singles "If I Go Away," "Turn to Grey" and his latest, "Boy Next Door," on tours with veteran Authentic artists such as the Nadas and the Josh Davis Band. The label will also distribute the album, which Lewis self-released on his birthday, November 7, 2006.

Fox Reality Channel, the only all-reality, all-the-time network, brings back the only awards show honoring reality television and celebrating all of its outrageous moments (and personalities) that kept America glued to their television sets this year. Our own Sanjaya Malakar was nominated in two categories–"Reality Performer of the Year" and "Favorite Loser." Elliott Yamin has begun his fall/winter tour and, from what the critics are saying, it’s definitely a show everyone will want to see. His band features six talented musicians, including two keyboardists, a bassist, guitarist, back-up vocalist, and a drummer. The result is a rich, soulful sound that only Elliott can provide with such precision.

On November 3, 2007, Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center Scott Hamilton CARES Initiative will host its eighth annual An Evening with Scott Hamilton and Friends, one of Clevelands premier and most elegant celebrity events.
An Evening with Scott Hamilton and Friends will combine outstanding figure skating talent accompanied by The Cleveland Pops Orchestra, Carl Topilow, Conductor, with Special Guest Stars American Idols Melinda Doolittle and Phil Stacey.
Following the ice show, gala guests are escorted to the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel for a black-tie evening featuring gourmet dining and dancing to live music.
**The goal for this event is to raise funds for The Scott Hamilton CARES Initiative at Cleveland Clinic Taussig Institute and to address Scotts biggest concerns: cancer education, research, and survivorship.**
