Elliott Yamin has begun his fall/winter tour and, from what the critics are saying, it’s definitely a show everyone will want to see. His band features six talented musicians, including two keyboardists, a bassist, guitarist, back-up vocalist, and a drummer. The result is a rich, soulful sound that only Elliott can provide with such precision.
Rachael Recker of the Grand Rapids Press reported of his show at The Intersection that "the gems of Yamin’s set came in the form of hard-grooving, raw and soulful R&B tunes, which suit his double-layered voice: one-part crystalline, one-part gravely/breathy morning voice."
There is also some more great news for Elliott fans, as he is releasing a Christmas album. The collection will include his own unique take on such classics as "This Christmas;" "Little Drummer Boy;" "Merry Christmas, Baby;" "The Christmas Song;" and "Jingle Bells." On November 3, 2007, Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center Scott Hamilton CARES Initiative will host its eighth annual An Evening with Scott Hamilton and Friends, one of Clevelands premier and most elegant celebrity events.
An Evening with Scott Hamilton and Friends will combine outstanding figure skating talent accompanied by The Cleveland Pops Orchestra, Carl Topilow, Conductor, with Special Guest Stars American Idols Melinda Doolittle and Phil Stacey.
Following the ice show, gala guests are escorted to the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel for a black-tie evening featuring gourmet dining and dancing to live music.
**The goal for this event is to raise funds for The Scott Hamilton CARES Initiative at Cleveland Clinic Taussig Institute and to address Scotts biggest concerns: cancer education, research, and survivorship.**
