While we remember her for her initial nerves in front of the "Idol" judges, Julia DeMato will be in her element this Sunday, October 14th. She will be singing the National Anthem at the Thompson International Speedway in Connecticut for the XTRAMART World Series pre-race ceremonies. The ceremonies will begin shortly after noon.
Having been raised in Connecticut as one of seven children in a very race-oriented family, Julia is thrilled for this opportunity. As she explains to WhoWon.com, "I am very excited and honored to sing at this event. I grew up in a racing family. My brother, Rocky DeMato, is very active in NASCAR and all of the local racing events. He is presently the spotter for Ted Christopher on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. I look forward to meeting everyone, signing autographs and sharing my experiences.
