If you’re one of the many Blake Lewis fans, you’ll definitely want to take note of this story from the Seattle P-I. American Idol’s first and only beatboxer thus far will join Seattle rock band The Mob Law to perform tonight at 10 at High Dive in Fremont.
Blake, a.k.a. Bshorty, gave a quick shout-out to the Seattle band while on American Idol earlier this year. According to the P-I, "The rock group combines punk rock, reggae and hip-hop in its intense live shows." There’s little doubt that Blake will thrive with a band like this.
In an interview with the P-I in July, Blake said he is going to buck the tradition of moving to Los Angeles for his music career. He doesn’t plan on leaving Seattle. He wants to remain in town in order to work with other local performers, such as The Mob Law.
